5K/10K/1 Mile Fun Run

If you can't make the run you can still participate by being a Ghost Runner and still get a t-shirt and goodie bag.
Awards will be given to 1st place Overall in Male and Female, 1st place Masters (over 40) in Male and Female, and the 1st and 2nd place finishers in all age groups of the 10K/5K. Awards will also be given to the 1st and 2nd place finishers for 10 and under in the 1 Mile Fun Run. All entrants will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag. The race will be a cross-country style race beginning on the Valwood campus. EMTs or physicians will be on hand and refreshments will be available. Both female and male participants will be able to compete in the following AGE GROUPS: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
All proceeds will benefit The Brain Tumor Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for brain tumor reserach.
This year we have something new!
On race day we will be collecting items to donate to families of children with cancer. We will be collecting toys, hats, DVDs, CDs, small stuffed animals, art supplies, and gift cards of any kind.

Save your aluminum can tabs at work and at school!
We are saving tabs to support the Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia. The recycled tabs help to pay expenses for the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald house provides free temporary housing for families in need of a place to stay while their child receives medical treatment.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to The Brain Tumor Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to benefit much needed research for Medulloblastoma.
Together we raised $10,640 to be sent to the Brain Tumor Program at St. Jude!

Cure for Kids Brunch Benefit

Brunch/Silent Auction
The Cure for Kids event was a huge success!
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit The Victoria LeeAnne Newsome Foundation, Inc. and will then be donated to the AFLAC Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Health Care of Atlanta - Egleston. (Victoria was treated for 22 months at Egleston.) The proceeds will be used to establish an experimental research fund for medulloblastoma to be used to help pay for clinical trails.
