Finding out that your child has cancer is the beginning of an overwhelming journey. Medical treatment is expensive and many times parents have to miss work to care for their sick child. It doesn't take long for a family's funds to run low or run out.

The Purple Wings of Hope Fund is a part of The Victoria LeeAnne Newsome Foundation, Inc. which through various means of support helps to offset medical and household expenses for families of children with cancer.

The Victoria LeeAnne Newsome Foundation, Inc. accepts financial donations, gas cards, phone cards, grocery store gifts cards, and retail gift cards that are given to families in order to provide some assistance during this difficult time.

The "Victoria 8" car was built by Victoria's daddy in April 2007 in memory of Victoria for what would have been her 10th birthday. The race car is driven by Lee Newsome (Victoria's daddy) and is used to raise funds to help families of children with cancer as well as to raise awareness for brain tumor research.  The Victoria 8 car is raced in South Georgia on asphalt and dirt in the Late Model class.  Victoria loved to go to the races with her daddy.  We hope to continue to help Victoria help others through The Purple Wings of Hope.
